A Tribute to Dr. Tim George
In the world of racing, where speed and adrenaline reign supreme, there was one man who stood out among the rest. Dr. Tim George, a renowned pediatric neurosurgeon at Dell Children's Hospital, had a passion for healing young lives and embracing the thrill of the race track. Little did Scott Dollahite know that their paths would cross in a way that would shape his career and change his life forever.
Our Story
Scott first met Dr. George when he was just fifteen years old, recovering from a spinal injury caused by a football accident. Dr. George became his doctor, guiding him through the challenging process of rehabilitation and recovery. His dedication to his patients was evident from their very first meeting — his calming presence and unwavering support helped Scott find strength during those difficult times.
Soon after Scott's recovery, he discovered Dr. George's love for racing. One day, Dr. George mentioned that he had heard about Scott's family's race track and expressed an interest in taking lessons to become a professional driver himself. Intrigued by his enthusiasm and eager to repay him for all he had done, Scott gladly agreed to be his coach.
As they spent more time together on the track, their bond grew stronger each day. Driven by their shared dream of becoming co-drivers on their own team in professional endurance racing, they embarked on an incredible journey together.
Dr.George not only believed in Scott but also invested in his future as a racer with unwavering dedication.

But fate had its own plans — even for those with hearts as big as Dr.George’s.
During a race at Sebring International Raceway, tragedy struck, and Dr.George suffered a fatal heart attack while driving. Scott was there as his coach, witnessing the sudden halt of his car on pit lane. The realization hit him like a tidal wave — his mentor, friend, and teammate were gone.
The loss was profound, but Dr.George's spirit lived on in the memories they shared. His legacy became the fuel that propelled Scott forward when times got tough in the racing world. One quote of Dr.George's stood out above all others: "This is going to be like going on the world's longest roller coaster ride and you may not always see me, but I'm going to have a seat on that ride with you and I'm not getting off."
Those words resonated deeply within Scott. They became etched into his consciousness as a reminder to never give up, to push beyond limits when doubt crept in.
Dr.Tim George Sr., a man who devoted himself to saving lives by day and chasing his dreams by night; he left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known him.
Today, as Scott straps himself into the cockpit of his race car painted with those immortal words of Dr.Tim George Sr., he feels his presence beside him — urging him ever forward towards victory.
Though their dream of racing prototypes together will remain unfulfilled in this lifetime, Scott carries him every time he steps onto the track because deep down inside; he is still riding shotgun on this journey called life.
And so they continue onwards together — driven by passion; guided by love; forever connected by their shared pursuit of speed and adventure.
